The Carbon County Fair and the 4-H Shooting Sports clubs will sponsor a shooting sports activity for Carbon County youth held in conjunction with the Carbon County Fair on August 9, 2010 beginning at 5:300 PM. The location is yet to be determined. Activities will include small-bore rifle, trap, and archery.
Participants will be divided into three age groups—11-13 year old, 14-16 year old, and 17-18 year old. This is a fun activity and prizes will be awarded to the shooters. All participants must either have a blue card or be accompanied by an adult (parents are welcome to observe and help with the activity). Long rifle .22 bullets and shotgun shells will be provided. Some limited archery equipment will be provided for those who do not have their own and want to participate in the archery activity.
