Animal Expo

    Animal Expo

Animal Expo--2017 Animals are welcome at the Carbon County Fair. The Animal Expo will be receiving entries on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 5-8 PM. Entrie classes may include rabbits, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigeons, goats, sheep, mini and draft horses, cattle, llamas or other exotic species. There will be two general categories, 4-H and Open and the classes will fall into those categories. The animals will be judged Friday morning. Due to limited staff this year, there will be NO showmanship activities on Saturday. Owners of the animals are responsible for the care of the animals during the entire exhibit.

Premiums will be awarded for blue and red ribbon animals to a maximum of two animals per exhibitor per class. There will be an awards ceremony at approximately 2 PM on Saturday, after which animals must be removed and cages put away. Exhibitors must be present at the awards ceremony to receive their premiums.

Please pre-register with the USU Extension Office by August 21 so the proper size and number of pens and cages can be set up. Call 636-3233 for more information. Entry forms may be downloaded from the links below, or stop by the USU Extension Office at the courthouse. Electronic forms may be emailed to the Extension Office at kathie.thayn@usu.edu.
